The search continues for a missing 4-year-old South Carolina girl who hasn’t been seen since Tuesday.
As Criminal Enterprise reported, Javeayah Harris was last seen at around 8:15 p.m., at Hillsboro Street and Ridgecrest Road, just outside the Aiken area.
Despite searching over 3,000 acres while utilizing ground search teams, helicopters, and drones, Javeayah remains missing, according to the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office.
Multiple law enforcement agencies are assisting in the search, including the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office, the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED), and the FBI. Bethel Baptist Church in Aiken remains the operational command post and dispatch hub.
Law enforcement stated during a Thursday press conference that the family is cooperating.
Rita Andrews,, who identified herself as an employee at a Pipeline Road convenience store, told WACH Fox that she saw the family frequently, until recently.
“They was just your regular, you know this is the neighborhood convenience store, and they would come in pretty frequent, you would always see the kids, and everything seemed fine,” she said.
Despite previous reports, law enforcement confirmed that Javeayah is not autistic or nonverbal.
Loved ones described Javeayah as “smart, talkative, and friendly,” who likes to chase chickens. She also likes Minnie Mouse, NBC 4 reports.
Javeayah is described as a Black female who stands 3 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs around 42 pounds. She has braided hair with pink beads, and was last seen wearing Minnie Mouse pajamas and Crocs.
Authorities are asking residents to check small spaces, sheds, under decks, and any areas where a small child could hide.
Anyone with information on her whereabouts is urged to call 911 or the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office at 803-502-5200.
