An Arizona mother is in Georgia hoping to find her missing 15-year-old daughter, who has been designated as a high risk of child sex trafficking.
According to the East Point Police Department, 15-year-old Serenity Williams was last seen on foot near the Market Place Boulevard area in East Point, Georgia, on September 21, at around 2:20 p.m.
“It’s hard not knowing where she’s at, or what she’s doing, or who she’s with,” her mother, Jessica Phillips, told Channel 2 Action News.
Phillips stated that Serenity arrived in Georgia on September 11 for treatment at Wellspring Living, a Paulding County nonprofit that helps trafficking survivors.
Two days later, Serenity and four other girls reportedly disappeared.
Williams, who believes her daughter has been trafficked before, stated that Serenity previously disappeared for weeks. She was later found in the Phoenix area.
“That is where we confirmed and opened a trafficking investigation because of the area she was found in and where she was found,” Phillips said. “She was also drugged with methamphetamine, fentanyl, and THC.”
Serenity is described as standing 5 feet, 5 inches tall, weighing around 185 pounds. She has brown eyes, reddish-brown hair, and was last seen wearing all black and white flip flops.
Anyone with information on her whereabouts is urged to contact East Point police and reference case #26-010361.
