BOLO: Police seek tips on missing Georgia woman last seen at Tennessee hospital

Weeks after 63-year-old Debbie Vernice Kkkyha and her spouse vanished on a trip to East Tennessee, investigators are continuing their search for the missing Georgia woman.

According to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, Debbie and her husband, Abdua Abduhulah Kkkyha, were reported missing by Georgia family members on August 3, who stated that the husband had been suffering from a severe mental breakdown in the weeks prior.

Police arrested the pair August 26 after they led law enforcement on a “multi-county chase through East Tennessee,” FOX 5 Atlanta reports.

The pursuit ended in Union County, where the pair were taken to Tennova North Knoxville Medical Center in Powell. Debbie received medical treatment for a fractured shoulder and underwent psychiatric evaluations.

Following his release from the hospital, police arrested Abdua on unspecified Union County charges and subsequently transferred him to the Knox County Jail. Court records indicated that he is being held without bond.

No charges were filed against Debbie and it is currently unclear when the hospital discharged her, according to FOX 5 Atlanta.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is urged to contact the Gwinnett County Police Department.

The story is developing. Check back for updates.
