The multi-agency search for a 4-year-old South Carolina girl, Javeayah Harris, has entered its fourth day as investigators sift through timeline details provided by her parents.
As Criminal Enterprise reported, Javeayah was last seen Tuesday night at around 8 p.m., playing in the family’s chicken coop, in the at Hillsboro Street and Ridgecrest Road, just outside the Aiken area.
“Not knowing is killing me,” her father, Johmarea Harris, told News 12. “It’s killing me, like, because, like, I mean, you see stuff like this often, but you don’t expect it to be you.”
Harris told police that he went to a local laundromat to do laundry and stopped by a convenience store the night Javeayah vanished. He estimated he had been gone for around an hour and a half.
When he arrived back home at around 9 p.m., law enforcement and drones were present. He initially thought the child’s mother, Michilae Herring, had gone into labor, but later learned Javeayah had been reported missing.
Herring went into labor and gave birth the following day.

Harris also stated that unknown people had been “snooping around” his property “lately,” but did not provide additional information. It’s unclear whether he saw the individuals firsthand.
“I had gave all of these detectives information about people snooping around the house lately,” he said.
Law enforcement is now asking residents and businesses to check security footage between June 15 and June 30, to help verify the report.
Herring, who made the initial 911 call, told police that Javeayah had been playing alone in the chicken coop when she disappeared.
The sheriff’s office said Herring contacted police at approximately 8:43 p.m., estimating that Javeayah was last seen around 43 minutes before her mother reported her missing.
The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office stated that both parents are cooperating in the investigation.
“No, she does not run away, but I will say that she is friendly,” Harris continued.
“She was just all friendly to everybody. She was very respectful. Like, yes, ma’am. No, ma’am. Yes, sir. No, sir. Like that’s what she do. We raised her great. Like she was a real smart kid.”
Despite searching over 3,000 acres while utilizing ground search teams, helicopters, and drones, Javeayah remains missing.
The FBI, along with numerous other law enforcement agencies, have been assisting in the search.
Javeayah is described as a Black female who stands 3 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs around 42 pounds. She has braided hair with pink beads, and was last seen wearing Minnie Mouse pajamas and Crocs.
She’s talkative and warm, and according to Harris, Javeayah is not autistic or nonverbal, despite previous reports.
She also loves Minnie Mouse and chasing chickens.
Anyone with information on her whereabouts is urged to call 911 or the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office at 803-502-5200.
