The search continues for two Utah children reported missing Saturday from the Saratoga Springs area.

According to the Utah Department of Public Safety, 46-year-old Dane Stephen Richman failed to drop his sons off Saturday, after he didn’t show up to a custody deposition Friday.

The children have been identified as:

  • Will Richman, 1
  • Wesley Richman, 10 months

Richman, who had shared custody of the children, picked them up from their mother’s Shelton home on May 16. He later stated that he would be taking the boys camping and has not spoken to her since.

The children’s aunt, Katie Walters, told ABC4 that his the children’s mother, who is divorced from Richman, learned at the deposition hearing that Richman had recently fired his attorney.

When police conducted a welfare check at Richman’s home in Saratoga Springs, they determined that he had sold his possessions.

“He had completely moved out of his house that the children were supposed to be living in, and the moving truck was just actually pulling out of the driveway, and the police were able to stop the moving truck, and they asked what’s going on,” Walters stated.

“They said they didn’t even know because they never even saw the owner of the home while they were there. They only were communicating via text.”

He also gave a recently-purchased dresser away, leading loved ones to believe he fled the state.

“It was liquidating. On top of that, he had recently quit his job a week or so ago, so he no longer has a source of income. You put two and two together,” Walters said. “We have enough intel from the FBI and police to reasonably suspect that he has left the state of Utah.”

Richman may be traveling in black Toyota Camry with Utah plate A561HL. The plate is possibly a temporary tag and hidden from view.

Richman is described as standing 6 feet, 2 inches tall, and weighing around 195 pounds. He has brown hair and green eyes.

Will is described as standing 2 feet, 6 inches tall and weighing around 31 pounds. He has strawberry blonde hair and blue eyes.

Wesley is described as standing 2 feet, 2 inches tall and weighing around 23 pounds. He has strawberry blonde hair and blue eyes.

Walters is urging anyone with information, no matter how minor, to come forward.

“You’ll be able to see them. Those little boys are so stinking cute. They have the brightest blonde hair and the biggest smiles you’ll ever see. Oh my gosh. Wes, the baby, is the giggliest little baby,” Walters said.

“Will and Wes are just adorable. I miss them so much.”

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Utah County Sheriff’s Office at 801-798-5600, or dial 911.
