The 5th annual 2026 Clue Awards are set to take place Saturday at 8 p.m. PT, at Las Vegas’ Caesars Palace, with celebrated “Dateline NBC” television personality Chris Hansen as this year’s host.
The prestigious awards program recognizes outstanding and ethical storytelling in true crime content, encompassing diverse media, including publishing, television, film, and podcasts.
Operating as a formal, ticketed centerpiece, as part of the CrimeCon convention, the evening event brings media professionals, law enforcement, and fans together to recognize ethical and impactful storytelling during a gala banquet.
The annual awards also celebrate the extraordinary contributions of those championing justice for crime victims.
Nominees have been finalized through a rigid, multi-step process, beginning with submissions from networks and independent creators. Entries are then thoroughly vetted before judging takes place by “creators, experts, and leaders within the true crime media community,” who are selected on their expertise, achievements, and professional reputation.
