BOLO: Search continues for two Connecticut children who vanished from Naugatuck foster care

Police in Connecticut are seeking tips in connection with two missing children who have not been seen in a week since vanishing from a Naugatuck foster home.

According to the Naugatuck Police Department, Samuel Alvarez, 13, and Victor Cruz, 8, were reported missing August 22 from a residence off Michael Lane.

Police stated that home security footage showed the boys leaving the home together that day at around 12:30 p.m., WFSB reports.

Connecticut State Police are assisting in the search and have deployed a K9 unit to scour the surrounding areas. It remains unclear which direction the pair is traveling.

Samuel is described as standing 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighing around 115 pounds. He has brown hair, hair, brown eyes and was last seen in blue pants and a gray Superman shirt.

Police stated that Samuel also had a black backpack with him and could possibly be wearing sandals.

Victor is described as standing 4 feet, 9 inches tall and weighing around 90 pounds. He has brown hair, green eyes was last seen wearing blue shorts, a blue shirt, white socks and black Crocs.
