Initial Coverage

Police in Georgia have issued an AMBER Alert for two Atlanta sisters, believed to have been abducted by a babysitter.

According to the Atlanta Police Department, Zola Cooper, 4, and Norah Cooper, 11 months, were last seen Saturday, near Jones Avenue NW and James P. Brawley Drive NW, at around 6:30 p.m.

Police stated that the children were last seen with their babysitter, identified as Lakesha Brown. She’s possibly driving a 2009 White Ford F350 with Alabama license tag IC087Y4.

FOX 5 Atlanta reports that APD believes Brown was arrested in 2021, on a kidnapping charge out of Jefferson County, Alabama.

Zola is described as standing 3 feet, 9 inches tall and weighing around 42 pounds. She was last seen in a multicolored dress.

Norah is described as weighing 28 pounds and missing her index and middle fingers on her right hand. She was last seen in a pink onesie.

Anyone with information should contact APD’s special victims unit at 404-546-4260 or Atlanta Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477.
