Police in Washington state are looking for a suspect after a 18-year-old woman was found dead in the laundry room of an apartment complex near the University of Washingotn campus late Sunday night.
Police said the Nordheim Court Apartments primarily houses international and graduate students at the university, KIRO reports.
Investigators say a 911 call came in at about 10 p.m. KOMO said the woman was stabbed and that attempts to revive her were unsuccessful.
Police said she was a student at the university.
They have not publicly identified the victim or said how she was killed. They did not say if they knew the name of the suspect or whether the two knew one another. The suspect was identified as a man about 5 feet 6 or 7 inches tall with a slim build, black hair and a beard. He was wearing a button-up shirt, blue jeans. and a dark blue vest and was between 25 and 30 years old.
Campus police sent an alert to students about the incident at about 10:42 p.m.
The King County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the woman’s identify and cause of death.
